Lest We Forget

"On this day, we the people of Peak Hill, recall those who in the great tragedy of war, gave their lives for Australia and for the freedom of mankind.

We remember all who have fallen by our side in both wars and in the conflicts that followed them. We reflect and think of every man, woman and child, who in those crucial years died so that the lights of freedom and humanity may continue to shine.

It is incumbent upon us to hold fast the heritage that they established for us so that our hearts and hands will remain as stout as theirs were during those dangerous years so that we may be found worthy of the victory that they gained for us".

After the street procession members of the public and visitors are welcome to join in the prayers, and reflection of this day.
